A private fleet of seven vessels — sailing yachts, classic motor cruisers, and a single restored 1962 wooden launch — chartered by the day from Port Vauban, Antibes.
We do not run cruises. We run afternoons — the kind where the engine is cut by ten, the anchor drops in a cove the brochures don't know, and lunch arrives in a wicker hamper from a woman in Vallauris who has been making it for us since the second year.
Marée operates seven vessels along the Cap d'Antibes coast and the Îles de Lérins. Charters are private, captained by one of four masters who have between them logged nineteen Atlantic crossings, and provisioned through a small handful of producers we trust. We do not list rates publicly. We do not take more than one charter per vessel per day.
A 1962 Riva Aquarama restored over fourteen months in Sarnico — twin Lamborghini V12s, mahogany decking, original cream leather. Best for short coastal runs, late lunches off Cap Ferrat, and arrivals that mean something.
A Nautor Swan 54 — Finnish-built, ocean-rated, and the only boat in the fleet whose name we let the owner keep. Long days under sail to the Îles de Lérins, overnight on her if you want. Crew of two, four guest berths.
Our largest day vessel — a Sunseeker Predator 84 with a shaded aft deck, a galley that has produced more good lunches than I can count, and the kind of stability that lets you read a book in a swell. Used most often for groups headed to Saint-Tropez.
A 1971 Hallberg-Rassy 35 — small, honest, and the boat I take my own family on. Two guests, a captain who will not speak unless spoken to, and a route that follows the wind rather than the schedule. The least expensive thing we offer, and the one I'd choose myself.
No deposit on first inquiry. We reply by hand, in English or French, within twelve hours. If a vessel is unavailable on your date, we will tell you so — and not propose another.
